Recap of the last week:
Had a structural contractor come out and assess the spreading wall/sagging roof on the house. They are going to come out and install some steel cables across the attic to stop the walls from spreading. This is enough to make the insurance company happy and keep things stable until I can afford to do the addition, at which point they can come back and winch the walls back in once the roof is completely ripped off. This will save me approximately $7000-$8000 dollars right now.
Took a 5 day weekend to get stuff done around the house, and really accomplished nothing. Did a bit of running around, fixed the brakes on my friend's car, poured some concrete at my old house to make a repair that had been needed since I installed the hot tub and sprinkler system. Got some rest.
SONIC. Oh dear god, I <3 U. Tots with chili & cheese, big fat juicy burgers, Fritos chili cheese wraps, cherry limeade and cream pie shakes. JustBlaze described the cream pie shakes the best: "I wanted to take the top off and fuck it". Yeah, they are that good.
