Okay, well, I'm back and all but today I gotta take geneticworld back to Montreal and I'm staying overnight and then returning tomorrow. So now I'll just be AWAY from my working computer for 2 days.

Last night I went out for drinks but nearly fell asleep while the boys were playing pool. Sorry!
I am so glad that the loud fuckers that live upstairs and kitty-corner from me are moving out in a week. They are so fucking annoying and stand outside of my bedroom and bedroom window and yell and bitch at each other or just hang outside there and their cellphones ring and all kinds of shit.
I'd really like to start working out but I can't afford a gym membership. Someone told me I can work out on campus for free, but I gotta figure out exactly how to go about that and stuff. 
I made the best salmon and mashed potatoes the other night for dinner for me and geneticworld! I made a spice rub for the salmon and then seared one side and then finished it off in the oven - since now I own these great fucking pans that can go into the oven!
And then I made mashed potatoes from scratch with butter and heavy cream - yes, I know they were a heart attack, but they were fucking good, so there! 
Anyway, the salmon was better than any I've ever had before - seriously. I was in disbelief of my cooking skills the entire time I was eating. Oh, and no, I did NOT use a recipe! 
I'm now freaked out about trans fats after reading an article in Gourmet magazine about them. Apparently they are worse for us than saturated fats - so throw out that margarine! Studies have shown that most Americans eat 5-6 grams of trans fats per day - and that for every 4-5 grams we eat our risk of heart disease doubles!!! So like every day, we're doubling our risk.
I went through all my cupboards and threw out anything that contained trans fats. Trans fats are those that are "hydrogenated" or "partially hydrogenated" or shortening (like Crisco). Don't buy them! Buy real butter or margarine that specifically says "No Trans Fats" on it. Badness.

some really noisy fuckers lived above me a few yeas ago and holy fuck i hated them so much. they would always go out to the bars and get piss drunk and come back and go outside on their porch right above me, and yell all over the place. they once heard my tv (because i put it really loud as to drown them out but it didnt work) and yelled "WHY DON'T YOOOOU COME HAAAVE A DRIIINK WITH USSS$!@%$"
ugh. so i had a little bit of a yelling match with them. fuck i hated them.
