First day of the semester today. I'm now starting my second semester in my PhD program. Feels kind of scary considering that I'm only 22 years old. Most of my students will be about 21. Speaking of my students... I get to see them all today. 
I'm sure they are all in frats and are jocks and will eat me alive, but that's ok. I'll try not to let that happen though. I don't actually have them in MY class until Friday - they attend lecture with the professor today - I'm just sitting in today and Wednesday to see how the prof is in the classroom. I think I should sit in back so I can stare at them the whole time without them knowing... hehe 
Oh damn... I need to find my passport and SS card before I leave today... hrm - wonder where those are??
I think I figured out how to get onto the wireless network on campus, so I think that I'll try that today during my 3 hour break.
Too bad it doesn't actually cover ALL of campus - just certain areas - so I have to go to the library in order for it to work. The school that my dept is in is one of the richest schools on campus but we don't have wireless - however, the Math dept does. 
I hate to leave you all, but I must go. I will talk to you later on.

Ok, so, my students didn't kill me. They actually seem really nice. Poor things, half of them that showed up can't even get into the class cuz it's totally full. I have like 13 overloads, but I don't want to let in anymore, even though I feel bad.
They'll survive I'm sure, though.
Wifi connection at school seems to work sometimes, but could really be better. I seem to have to log into the network every 5-10 minutes or I lose a connection. Bastards!

Sounds like a good start. From my experience the students like the young female grad students as teachers. You are ALWAYS nicer than a long time prof.
