1. The other night I made a salad with coconut crusted salmon and caramelized onions with a Thai sesame lime vinegarette. I had something similar in Vancouver and I was trying to replicate it. Seriously, I did pretty fucking well. 
2. Wimbledon is exciting. GO MAURESMO!!
This was Andre Agassi's last Wimbledon... when he lost to Nadal I cried. I expected him to lose cuz he's old and stiff now, but it was still sad seeing him walk off the Wimbledon court for the last time.
3. W became the North American record holder for the haggis hurl at a recent Scottish highland games. He threw a haggis about 147 feet, breaking the previous North American record by at least 10 feet. The world record is at 181 feet. What an odd record to say you hold.
4. I bought a new tent! I'm excited to try it out. This weekend I might be going camping on an island in the Adirondacks - you gotta canoe to get there. hehe
5. MY CLASS STARTS TOMORROW OMG.
My syllabus is almost ready. Tomorrow my students will be learning about plagiarism and citation. 
I have 20 students.
6. I FINALLY got fabric for my opium den room that I've wanted to finish for a year now. I'm covering the ceiling with fabric to lower it but fabric is really expensive. Well, a fabric store here is going out of business. LUCKY ME! So I just got about $125 worth of fabric for $35!!!! WOO!
7. I currently reading The Omnivore's Dilemma. It is a GREAT book - the author was on the Daily Show so I decided to get the book. Good read. Sorta like Fast Food Nation but more about farming - cows and corn, in particular - and meals.
