That's what I love about Mieville, he's so damn smart!

Neil always makes me happy. As far as I'm concerned he can do no wrong. ^_^

yeah. well, he actually wrote an introduction to the book and he's definitely way cool with critical stuff, because he realizes once something is written it no longer belongs to the author alone, and if anything it belongs to the author less.

i love mieville but especially his short stories didn't quite work for me. sometimes you just want a happy ending and he seems firmly against a happy ending. oh well.
