Funny how art imitates life. FX has this new show out called THE BRIDGE. It's a remake of a Danish TV show. It centers around a serial killer who kills women and one of his victims is placed on the border between El Paso, TX and Juarez, Mexico. I know it's just a TV show but it has very political undertones with the current immigration situation. A lot of people, especially in Texas, are very anti-immigration. You see people coming over the border in vans and trucks, there's sex slaves, and don't forget the drug cartels. It also doesn't portray a positive view of Juarez but I have some friends from El Paso who say Juarez is really like that. Here's a clip:



It's a very interesting show. Although the lead actress Diane Kruger is very miscast as an El Paso detective with her pronounced german accent.
