I like the sound of 'How I Found Black Brodie' (what I've heard of it, anyway). Sounds like a countyfied Royal Trux, which is v cool.

wow! you're mexican. good deal. i met some kick ass mexicans from mexico city in london. very chill and kick back. had great style! not as much as the italians or spanish but its funny how people have this "border jumper" impression of mexicans! they obviously don't know mexican history. the history in mexico is amazing! i want to go to the beach, kick it on white sand, be able to walk around naked and still have the option to visit the pyramids or jungles!!! yay! i need to leave and i'm just itching to go anywhere!

Yeah, I've heard they're really cool and I always loved that name, which I believe comes from a line in Star Wars.

Not seen 'Rat Catcher' yet but I'm desperate to see Lynne Ramsay's film of the book "Morvern Callar" . The book was really cool and it sounds like the soundtrack will feature 'Some Velvet Morning' by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood and possibly cool stuff by Can and groups like that.

Glad you liked those Dawn Of The Replicants tracks muta18. Sure I've heard of Television. I used to borrow CDs off my aunt all the time and Marquee Moon was a favourite of hers.

Kind of an aquired taste, Arab Strap, but I like some of their stuff - kind of like Trainspotting stories set to Mogwai's music. The musician guy in the band, Malcolm Middleton did a cool album last year dressed as Crappo The Clown.

You should try out Dawn Of The Replicants in your search engine. They had a couple of albums in the late 90s on eastwest and an album last year on an Indie label. The Belfast DJ, David Holmes, did a really cool remix of their song 'Skullcrusher' that I'm hoping to track down again (borrowed by a friend I lost touch with).

Not that mad on Belle and Sebastian. I think they're a little bit twee. But The Delgados are cool. They're the band who own Chemikal Underground records in Glasgow, which put out Arab Strap, Mogwai and Bis.

You probably heard The Beta Band on the 'High Fidelity' soundtrack (the band John Cusack said he could sell 5 copies of in that scene in the shop). I think they're mostly a Scottish band.
