A povre gamer, somdeel stape in age...
Well, not so "stape'd in age," in fact. Quite spry, too, I might add. And not really povre, either...but still, this is a Canterbury tale of sorts.
My good friend James Wallis (he of Baron Von Munchausen fame, among many other bits of brilliance) is walking. A lot. Right now. For charity.
In fact, he's walking the entire 146-mile "Pilgrim's Route," from Winchester to Canterbury for a very good cause.
Probably more painful to him is this: James, who once swore he'd never have a blog, is blogging about the walk.
In his words (which are always better than mine):
The route covers three counties and 146 miles, and I will be doing it without GPS, sat-nav, routefinder, or a map of any kind. It will take me about ten days, or longer if I get horribly lost. So: probably longer.
If you want to show me some encouragement in this act of great foolishness, then please sponsor me.

James' blog can be found (and hence, his progress can be charted) here.Apart from anything else, it really is a bloody good read. Sort of Martin Amis meets Geoffrey Chaucer by way of Nigel Molesworth. (Actually, it's nothing like that. I just thought it would be fun to say. But the blog IS really readable, enjoyable and entertaining.)
But the important thing is...his sponsorship page can be found here.
Give 'til it hurts. Or rather, give 'til James hurts. Heh.
"So tell us, Baron, how DID you find a cure for chaffing with just a spoon, a florin and a marmot...?"

In Gamespy.com seems to be down again, so here's today's cartoon:

Not sure what's up with Gamespy...but I've really had fun inking these last couple of cartoons. I was pretty down on myself last week for not spending enough time with the drawings.

How has life been treating you, dearie? I'm sorry I've been so absent...life has been, in a word, INSANE.
