So I guess my guitar duet is going to cover a Rodrigo and Gabriela song. Gender roles reversed though. The chick will play the lead guitar and I will do the rasgueda on rhythm cause no matter what that group thinks, those chording styles are flamenco born. How would I know over a couple of Mexicans? Its a common mistake. Flamenco is Spanish, not Mexican. Its more associated with Gypisies than Mestizos. If you haven't checked out Rodrigo and Gabriela you should. They're pretty badass. They breathed new life into the guitar which no one has done for a long time. Or at least for me personally I can't remember the last time that I was excited on the instrument. Its not often something even remotely new is done on the guitar.

I keep making these dooles of music. They're not long enough for me to show off. But I have like a dozen of them now. And none of them are the same bpm and none of them seem to be able to complament each other even if they were. Oh well.

So Axis got the practice space back. We really need to stop being broke. Anyway, we had a meeting where we choose the album art and what tracks to cut from the album and things like that. Talked about trying to tour this summer. Hopefully we'll start playing shows again soon.

Anyway, nothing exciting over here. Just a lot of school and me trying to balance my time without going completely crazy. I'm feeling really old now a days.
