I sort of got a big shocker today. A friend of mine that I've maybe seen only 4 times over the course of the past year gave me a call tonight. Being the phonecall screener that I am, I didn't pick up 'til after a voicemail was left. It was Kristen, a supervisor of mine from my Borders days oh-so-long ago. She said that she wanted to ask me something and to give her a call back.

So I did. She wanted to invite me to her UnValentines Day Friday the 13th party. Her personality goes straight up that gothic/dark alley where all the freaks and geeks come out and play, and well... I agreed. I'm actually looking forward to it. But that wasn't the shocker. She told me that she and her husband split. I've met the guy several times.. he used to come into the store and hang out and read while waitin' for her to get off of work. He's stepped over my drunken body to get inside of his home before. And they seemed so absolutely in love. But... it's over. That's just trippy to me.

Elsewhere, work is goin' good. I'm surprised that 3 days have passed already this week. Friday, I do think I may end up going to the Counterfit show at the Casbah. But the thing is, I don't go to shows by myself, and it's also a 21+ show. So, I need to find someone that I know who is interested in Counterfit, over the age of 21.. and I'll be set. Hmm... how will I pull this off?

Saturday morning, there's a record show in San Diego that I may end up going to, followed by a basketball game at SDSU vs. UNLV. I managed to get free tickets, yet again.... nobody to go with. I'm thinking about asking Ann to join me for one of these events (Counterfit or Basketball), for the sake of having a good time. We still enjoy each other's company I do believe, so that could be awesome.
