I had my first conversation with my long time crush. He was in the store today and I handed him a Ralph Stedman art book. A little later I know his name (always nice) and we got
to know each other a little. I ran out of things to say. I eyes made my tummy do little flips and I think I ended the conversation with "Um...ok, bye. When you're in again say hi" I think I screwed that up. I'm not good at talking to people at first. It makes me feel like this puke . Especially when that have big brown eyes framed in black glassed and messy brown hair...
It's been raining off and on the last 3 days and I was depressed all weekend. I haven't dated anyone in 2 years (I'm a picky bitch... wink ) So, I've been feeling lonely but it cheered me up talking to this guy. I got the feeling he felt the same so I'll see if next time he comes in if he's says hello.
I wanted to go to the Smithsonian (American Artists) to see Joesph Cornell work but it's under reconstruction until July 2006. I figure I can get there in about 10 hours. Almost all of his work and things he kept are there. I guess I'll just have to wait until summer to go.

Hello,

I don't know you. I randomly came to your journal. Here's my thought.

Tease him, recall something from the conversation. Or if he teases you - you've got him.

If next time he comes in and he doesn't say hello, you should say hello. He may be shy, intimidated, or perhaps have thought too much about the conversation after he left. He may covertly welcome you saying hello. But don't just say hello - ask him a question that does not require YES or NO.

The important thing isn't getting a date out of the sitation but you doing something positive that will make him remember you or vice versa.

Coming from a guy, I'll try it. I mean, we're both shy so one of us has to make a move. Thanks!
