its my birthday................w00t!!!!
okay so i'm actually not really that excited about turning 24................damn, i feel like my youth is slipping away.......i think its about time that i start lying about my age.
hey it could work.....i've always been told i look a lot younger that i really am.
so, lets see......this weekend i went to megacon....oh yes. i am a nerd to the core. i wait all year for that one event, and now that it is over again i feel a slight sadness.........a sadness mostly because i should have bought that zombie t-shirt that read "brains!"....yummy.
i didn't go there for one thing in particular like some people.........instead i went for everything.....i am just your average well rounded nerd. i like the anime, the comics, the toys, the art, maybe a little cosplay, star wars, horror movies, japanese movies, i like how j-pop looks but hate all the music i've heard......gaming and star trek i hate, though...........true i used to LARP with the best of them at vampire games long ago, but i try not to mention that....ever.
speaking of horror movies, one of the many things i splurged on at the con was the second ju-on movie (you know, the one "the grudge" was based off of). so eric and i watched the first ju-on together so he could get whats going on in the second one. the second time around it makes a whole lot more sense..........like the first time i didn't realise that izumi's death occurs in the future.............the first time i was like....wait....wasn't she just like ten or something...........ah nevermind. if you haven't seen it you're probably pretty confused. so all i can say is see it. its interesting to see the parallels and the differences between the two........they both scare the crap out of me though. but the reason behind why is a whole other story i don't want to get into here......i don't want anyone to think i'm nut or anything.
or do i look nut just by saying that?
i also watched "night of the living dead" for the first time last night...........damn that movie was funny........and i even liked the ending. i was afaid it would be all happy and tralala everythings all better now....but it wasn't. if there is one thing i don't like in depressing or scary movies its happy endings..........i mean, why should everything be so perfect all of the sudden in the end....life's not like that.....generally. i'm not bitter or anything.....its just the way it is. personal preference i suppose. hahaha......i'm been told that garbage's "i'm only happy when it rains" is my song......and i agree completely
i like zombie movies a little more than i used to. all the new ones are so great..........and shawn of the dead......haha i laughed my ass off when i saw that one.....its an excelent spoof.........i loved it.
i've been let down by a few horror movies i've seen recently though...not zombie related, of course :3 ......alien verses predator and boogieman especially.
AVP ended up being this stupid action thing and i really don't like right out action........i like a little more plot and suspense. plus i'm a huge fan of the alien movies and it really didn't do them any justice at all.....at least i got to see th aliens.
am i odd in thinking that they are sexy as hell.........i mean....damn they're hot. so slinky and primal and badass.........*faints*
okay i'm beyond nerd..........what can i do besides go with it?
next year i'm thinking as dressing as dark chii from chobits. that is if i can remember to get my constume together in time
