Oils are fun!
i'm determined to make this the first oil painting that I don't stop half-way through then give up on. Although it didn't help that I didn't plan out the composition at all before I started - and it shows.
Anyone have any ideas on what I could possibly do with all that negative space???? I'm still learning with this non-digital stuff with the not being able to scale and move things around.
Despite how frustrating it can be I want to keep going and start on some new paintings. But just trying to figure out what to paint is the hardest part. I don't want my next one to be so boring.
Also, thanks for the comments on my work in the comic. Small prints of the poster will be available at orlando's megacon this year for super cheap, if anyone is planning on going.

Your stylized portraits are glorious. You are very talented.
It would be a touch more work, but a dark scattered cityscape would look lovely. I see a stylized block-like scroll of buildings, lit up in the orange. You could use a blue base to help push the figure forward out of the background.
