fucking Notre Dame. what a fucking great school.
There were protesters at the Vagina Monologues. they were there to protest the message the Monologues sent out about sexuality. fucking mainstream school. rape and domestic violence is a serious issue, and while all those good little catholic girls and boys were PRAYING for the souls of those who attended the play and preformed in it...I was watching it. embracing the message. rape is not ok, and neither is silencing a woman's right to speak her mind. the vagina is part of the woman's body, I don't care if you're uncomfortable with it. didn't the amazing Virgin Mary have one?! I bet that woman would have been on stage preforming with those brave girls. How dare anyone protest something like this. it needs to be celebrated. I'm not a feminist by any stretch of the imagination. but why at such an institution where learning and growing and experiencing life, is the advancement of women PROTESTED?
because it's a Catholic institution. and they haven't pulled their heads out of their asses since the crucifixion.
I'm religious and I believe in God and I know he looks down upon me and guides me. but I was there at the Vagina Monologues. so I guess they were praying for me as well. well, then I got double prayers today.
and, I in no way want to offend anyone, this is just my opinion. if you are an open minded catholic, then I hope you don't take offence to this.
