Warning - Football Rant Ahead!
Why does the world stop when the fucking football is on?
I don't get it - your friends social life come to a standstill, and your work lets everyone out early without any questions to catch the england games.
They wouldn't let me do that to go and catch an early gig would they? No, i'd have to take it off as holiday!
Anyway, I have since realised that this is exactly the reason I will never get on in life.
I just hate fucking football...

Last night, me and Dad went to see Nancy Sinatra at the Royal Festival Hall. This was apparently the only time she has ever played in the UK, never having played here before.
Nancy is my all-time favourite female singer, and have loved her music (and that of Lee Hazlewood too, natch) for years. Obviously my Dad has loved these guys for considerably longer!
Anyway, the gig was amazing! I was concerned the show may be a bit underpar, and had no idea what Nancy would be like. I needn't have worried.
She played an awesome mixture of songs, and considering there were an awful lot of songs to chose from, she played a surprising collection.
She chatted along happily to the crowd between songs, and displayed a great sense of humour. She even stood to the side of the stage during "Good Time Girl" and happily watched the video of herself back in her heyday, snogging Elvis and Peter Fonda!
This was a real treat for me - I never thought I'd see this fantastic lady in concert. I also got to hear my all-time favourite single ever, again something I never expected to hear live, when she played "You Only Live Twice".
We were both gobsmacked..so much so, Dad decided he would venture out into London again and booked tickets for both of us there and then to go see Lee Hazlewood in August!
However, i did feel like shite this morning due to the consumption of far too many Stellas...cheers Dad!

For those of you around this weekend, come and join me @ this, for an afternoon of "art n booze" with SianyRiot and LadyInsane!

And yes, i know where you are, and believe me, i shall be seeking you out at the end of next month
Me and Big G are gonna try and arrange it so as to make it the same time hopefully.
Going to the pub with a bunch of total strangers (no matter how nice they are) just isn't that appealing to me right now...come to think of it, that's just the way that I've always been.
I think that its really nice that you want me to come and be a part of it all and stuff. I'd only be a disappointment though if I turned up and then didn't feel comfortable and was no fun at all.
I'm not sure that I should have to keep justifying myself actually.
Take it easy, mate.
