Busy Busy Busy...
Last weekend, me adam and sarah holed up in Ealing to start recording our first CD. we bashed out the basics of 9 tracks in 2 days. this weekend we go back in to finish the guitar, and hopefully finish the vocals.
we're hoping the CD will be done for the 1st May. I got the artwork back from one of our design guys, and its fucking awesome!
speaking of vocals, the band played its first gig on Friday as a three piece, with me adam and sarah all providing vocals. i must say, apart from a few slip ups (me forgetting the words once or twice), we were pretty rockin. we were chuffed with the way it turned out - people were saying good things about the new three-piece Small Mercies, and we had a lot of great feedback.
i must say we're pretty excited about whats to come now. and i feel like i've acheived something. before the Mercies, i'd never sung in a band. after 10 gigs, i'm now a co-lead vocalist! it was awesome - i felt so angry and defiant once we started playing. was great getting to vent that anger shouting out our songs!
was also a brilliant turn out, with loads of people turning up to see us, along with a little SGUK contingent, which was ace. everyones support is most appreciated - you know who you are!

24th May - The Peel, Kingston - K'Town all dayer with Shermer, Party Garbage, Dauntless Elite, Chillerton, and fuck loads more
