last week consisted of the following:
* being ill all week with lung and head cheese. felt like poo for most of the week, although i still made it to...
* THE SLACKERS gig on wednesday with
my punk rock Partner-In-Crime and other assorted peoples. I thought the band were ace, and i assume so did Jackie, judging from her dance moves, but everyone else just fucked off and sat in the bar. which left me and jackie on our lonesome to get down to some serious jumping about and shouting our heads off.
unfortunately i still felt like shite, and got steadily worse as the evening progressed. ho hum. oh yeah, we also had an awesome mexican meal again before the gig.
* saw CAPTIVITY with Iannnnnn. it was awful. i am gobsmacked how someone seriously greenlighted the project after reading the script. unbelieveably bad.
* saw HOSTEL 2. not great either. hey, its mean to be a gore film right? so yet again, we're only subjected to one horrific torture scene...the rest of it was a bit of a cop out i reckon. apologies for those that haven;t seen it yet...but you knew what it was gonna be like, right? shortchanged...
* another day of drinking in random nice pubs around Notting Hill and Kensington with Tony, Carmel, Chris and Sarah.
looking forward to next week:
* another rehearsal, and a seperate songwriting-and-pizza-eating session with the band
* seeing AGAINST ME with Jackie on Tuesday. Really looking forward to seeing these guys again, and hanging out with my mate. Against Me was the first band we actually saw together - neither of us really having heard them previously. So cue more mad dancing i reckon...at least i feel better now...
