My year is actually going for some sort of record with the number of insanely brilliant gigs I've been to so far. I think at least 2 and maybe 3 are in my top 10 ever.

You can get an idea of how big the venue was for Wednesday from the size of the stage. FIngers crossed that the Freebutt is reopening here this year, thats a proper dive venue.

The Thermals were just incredibly fluid and tight. They also had the best drummer I've seen for ages, he did nothing complicated but everything he did was just right and seemed to fit right where it was meant to.
