Friday morning, well needed day off work, and i'm starting this journal with yet another Coop related entry:
This morning, I recieved the most awesome early birthday pressie ever...

ok, so i've NOT actually been "tagged" by anyone (althoughCreamyGoodness attempted to tag me and got bored halfway through
), but seeing as I have nothing else really that mega to write, it also seemed appropriate looking at that date on the left that this would be a good time to share my "random 20 facts about me". so here they are:
1. My middle name is Richard - or Dick. My dads first names are Richard William - or Dick Willy. Sometimes this freaks me out a little bit.
2. When I was 10, we got our first video player, and me and mum immediately went and started hiring out all the horror films and video nasties (before they got banned) we could. The first horror film I saw was "Scanners" - the second was "Dawn Of The Dead".
3. I can drive, but I hate driving. And I hate cars. This is why I have a Toyota Yaris, although I would love a PT Cruiser. But I can't reach the pedals.
4. Although I got tattooed late in life, I've always been intrigued by tattoos, even as a kid. My dads best mate has two green blurry blobs on his arms (used to be a snake n dagger and a anchor), and I guarantee that's where my interest comes from. However, everyone told me it hurt and I wouldn't stand the pain. Which is the reason why I never got tattooed before last year.
5. Im allergic to nuts and Chinese food.
6. Jagermeister has probably the same effect on me as Rohypnol. NEVER LET ME DRINK IT!
7. I am small because my mum and dad are small (I'm bigger than my mum, but smaller than my dad). However, my dads brother and my cousins are all giants, apart from the middle cousin, who kinda takes after us. We definitely aren't midgets or dwarves or hobbits or anything like that.
8. I am obsessed with holidaying in America. So far I have been to Orlando (5 times), San Francisco (twice), Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Nashville...which was closed.
9. I get celebrity crushes like people sneeze. The list over the past few years has included Courteney Cox, Demi Moore, Cameron Diaz, Eliza Dushku, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Zhang Ziyi, Keira Knightly, Rachel Leigh Cook, Kirsten Dunst, Elisha Cuthbert, Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, Jessie Wallace from Eastenders, Leanne Wilson from Casualty, Tina Hobley from Holby City, and big boobed Page Three Stunna Michelle Marsh.
10. My earliest memory is me in Primary School in my first class, and the teacher not letting my friend go to the toilet. He asked me what I should do. Being 4 years old, I said he should just do it. 2 minutes later he had pissed himself. We both found this hilarious.
11. I have lost touch with all my friends I had at school and at my first job. And I couldn't care less.
12. I play guitar and bass, and used to play in bands from 1986 - 1996. I toured the UK a few times in one band, and another band I was in "nearly" made it - until the singer/bassist had a nervous breakdown and gave up music. I was once a good enough guitar player to actually warrant having "my own style" (based on lots of feedback and stolen pixies/husker du riffs). Now I can barely play.
13. Food bores me. If I had the choice of living without eating I would. But I'd starve to death.
14. I hate watching sport, apart from baseball and skateboarding.
15. I am obsessed with Converse All Stars, and currently own at least 10 pairs in different colours.
16. I went through a stage of doing speed on a Friday night. However, I worked out I did it probably 10 times in 2 years. Hardly a horrendous drug habit.
17. I really like Steps, Abba and Dido.
18. The first single I bought was Money Money Money by Abba. The second was The Cost Of Living EP by The Clash. Then I got the Smurfs, The Buzzcocks, Boney M, and Something Else by The Sex Pistols, which my dad stuck sellotape all over the B side so I couldnt play Friggin In The Riggin.
19. I have a goddaughter and a godson. My goddaughter Izzy, is 2 years old and she's nuts. She likes my tattoos and I wind her up by eating all her sweets.
My godson James recently got out of prison and is now missing.
20. When the Gremlins are watching "Snow White" in the cinema in the film "Gremlins", there is a quick shot of a hysterical Gremlin with popcorn wrappers on his ears. Not only is this one of my all-time favourite scenes in a movie, but I totally identify with that Gremlin.
