I may well be there in May, in a "supervisory" capacity with some of the students form college. I may have to buy them alcohol and get them psissed in the hotel. Hooking up with the SGSF crowd sounds like a plan too, got any contacts?
YAY!! MY RIGHT ARM IS FAMOUS....ish....
in this months TOTAL TATTOO magazine (march 05 edition), there is a feature on Frith Street Tattoo, which includes on page 44, a nice photo of my right arm!
its a cool article. although my tattooist JJ isn't featured (cos he only works 2 days a week, he probably wasn't there), its great hearing about all the other guys...

i will keep it in mind
i saw "Hallowe'en" at the NFT yesterday - was fantastic to see it on the big screen.
it really is an amazing film - the widescreen really comes into its own in the first half of the film, with all the steadicam stuff...very eerie and creepy.
an absolute classic, considering how cheap it probably was to make.

"The Old Bank" just by the station is quite a nice pub, though admittedly i do go in there to watch the football, and i remember your comment about sports at the meet, so maybe it's not for you. But yeah, most pubs round Sutton are plastic crappy pubs, or football pubs.
"The Ship" in Croydon would be right up your street, it's just by where Brannigans used to be. Coincidental name huh?

"Were Green Day good?" would be a dumb question. So I shan't even think of asking that
Hope it was fantastic.
Wish I'd thought ahead enough to at least attempt to get a ticket
Next time

Dude, I realized a little while ago that I forgot to give you my reggae CD back after you asked me to keep it in my bag.
What to do?
Have a good gig on Monday.

My gig schedule for this week? The Dead Pets and Vicious Cabaret. Ah well, at least it's cheap and they're both damn good bands.
Last time I saw Green Day was in Leeds on the "Nimrod" tour about six years ago - my main memory of the gig is them starting up "Longview" and getting a TickleMeElmo doll to sing "The beautiful people, the beautiful people..." to the intro. That made me laugh.

Certainly sir. I'll give you a copy the next time I see you. I reckon there are a few tracks that you'll really like. Some of the second disc is like acid house though so I'm fiarly sure you'll hate those tracks.
One more day to go til the weekend. Yay!

today, i actually managed to get Queens Of The Stone Age tickets for one of the teeny tiny gigs they are doing in march.
i rushed into work, got on the net, had two phones ringing up different agencies - and nothing. not a fucken sniff of a ticket.
Stargreen sold out in what must have been seconds. you couldn't get...

hmmmm...been very quiet here in ole SG Land this weekend...
had a quiet-ish, movie orientated weekend myself.
Friday: saw "Electra" - its actually pretty good. Cheesy, but quite dark and moody. Jennifer Garner is actually a good actress, which helps.
Saturday: saw "Closer" - and wish I hadn't bothered. what a load of self-indlugent whingy shite. how is anyone supposed to have any kinda of...

I didn't go , I found my enthusiasm for the gig kind of went since I booked the ticket . I've seen them before I know there a good live band but I just didn't feel like it this time.
As for the film we'll agree to disagree
..admitedly I also felt like smacking Jude at times though.

Cheers for the comment mate. Erm, not sure what the plan is for this weekend. I'm staying in a hotel somewhere about halfway between Kings Cross and Camden. I think the plan for Saturday is I'm meeting farqueue and Charley to do the whole tourist thing once I've unpacked etc. although I don't know for certain yet. Still, I've got six hours to kill between chucking out time at the hotel and my train back on Sunday so I'm sure we can arrange summat.
i may be speaking too soon, but i think the swimmings working.
i can now get back into my favourite 7 Seconds tshirt!

Edited to add:
the Brit Awards nominee show is on behind me at the moment, and i've just laughed so hard my diet coke has shot out my nose...
Lauren Laverne:"Maroon 5? They make me want to swallow my legs..."...

It's a good feeling isn't it, I'm still weaning myself off christmas eating habits, but getting back into the excercise too.
