Well Punt is doing fine after his surgery. The doctor doesn't want him to play drums for 6 months. I don't think the dude will abide. He's already getting cabin fever, and it's only been like three days.
Applied for two jobs. One in San Francisco, and one in Sunnyvale. If I get the one in SF, I doubt I'll be living in Sj for much longer. Bring it on.
I began to write my first record. It's very tiring and exciting at the same time. I recorded about an hour of assorted drums (Punt) for editing. My plan is a double EP with counter meeter and feel. Tentatively themed, the Sun and the Moon. One EP will have songs in upbeat major pop thingamajigger, and the other will be slow and minor moving songs sans strict rhythms. This should be a fucking blast.
On thursday I leave for a weekend in Vegas. It's a birthday party for my buddies lady friend. I haven't been there in a couple of years. It should be fun as well. It's the place where I smoke while inside, and grab a beer for the road.
I've been listening to that new Loretta Lynn record "Van Leer Rose". There is some really cool stuff on there. It saddens me that the country music awards blackballed it due to prejudice.
I'm enrolling in a distance learning program at the local college, In hopes of learning something from smart people. Sounds like an easy plan, yes?
