I spent new years just like I planned on it. I turned off the phone, cleaned the house, listened to Yellow House by Grizzly Bear over and over, and busted out the old TEAC 2340sx:
Most of my friends had this grandiose idea of renting a penthouse in Union Square in SF. I wasn't really feeling the whole "party your ass off" type of new years this year, so opted out. Had a glass of champagne at midnight with my roommate and a neighbor.
I was basically off of work from the 22nd of Dec. till the 2nd of the year. After such a needed holiday, it's so insanely hard to go back to work and not quit out of sheer laziness.
Now it's time to finish the Mumlers record. We need to think of a title. A good one. Any Ideas?
