Midlake - The Trials of Van Occupanther
From out of nowhere this band from Denton Texas is slated to release their second full length record this year. Although this band is fairly new, the sound they produce remind you of music your parents grew up with. The most apparent influence, in my opinion, is Fleetwood Mac. Seriously, these guys have made a record that will last. If there is one track you need to listen to it's the opening track "Roscoe"
