I guess it doesn't need to be said that I'm happiest when I'm busy. I don't stop to realize how tired I am.
So much going on lately. I'll try to recap:
1) Just got back from a weekend in Long Beach watching my buddy Alex get married to a wonderful woman. Stayed with best friend Ronnie and got to catch up on the movie he'll be shooting late this summer. Two 5 hour drives by myself in 3 days is a tad tiring.
2) In the middle of recording a project to shop to a couple of record labels. Punt, Rob and myself are playing music again (i.e. Sloe) with a couple of rad guys. Phil (guitars) plays in a group called Sun Kill Moon, and Chris is a rocket scientist who plays a mean acoustic Piano. Dubbed "Dead Snake Band" we're in the middle of recording about 4 songs that show some promise. Cross your fingers. It would be nice to finally have a budget to play in a nice studio with.
3) Trying to close down the Studio to outside bands. I've just spent so much time (8 hours at corporate job, then 6 hours of recording at night=13-14 hour days) that it's getting to be a tad boring and monotonous.
4) Need to start getting some sort of running, biking, or even yoga going. Exercise is scarce for me nowadays. I've gained 10 pounds since last year. And this is after I switched from beer to scotch a few years back. Maybe is all the pot I smoke, or how I sit in front of a computer for 12 hours a day. This will change, oh yes it will, but I need the help of number 3 above.
5) I realized today that due to all of thee above time takers that i've been single and not dating for almost 2 and a half years now. That fucking scares me. It's like i'm going to become some recluse that only loves his cat (which is sadly the point that i'm at). Need to get out and meet new people.
I also missed out on spring. Was it here and I blinked? It's so hot already that I feel like the trees and flowers are playing catchup. They are already being scorched by the sun, and they've just begun to blossom.
