2006 will see me end my hermit streak. I've gone out almost every night for the last 2-3 weeks. Caught up with my local friends, tied up loose ends in the studio.
New Project:
So since i've pretty much finished the recording projects, i've stopped booking any more gigs to focus on a personal project.
My good friend wrote (40 pages so far) a really cool script for an independent that he's going to shoot this summer. It revolves around an overlooked musician from the 90's (Jason Mckee). He's asked that I ghost write some of the scenes that are set in the recording studio and at the band rehearsals. He's also asked that I cover 3 of the guys songs for the movie and score the rest of the movie accordingly. It's a big undertaking, but I think i'm up for it.
I feel green.
So, i'm going to take the opportunity to use this journal as my collection of stories and thoughts from his perspective, so don't be alarmed if I don't seem myself for the next few months. If i'm going to do this right, I need to jump into it full boar.

i already miss it and am growing it back.
I did a 4track solo record for the National Solo Album Month project back in November. My favorite song to record was a cover of a Beach Boys track. It's lo-fi, but I like it.

I am busy with producing two films right now and hope to be directing one later this year contingent on the financing coming together, so things are good here.
And I turned a year older yesterday, as you saw. Thanks for the comment and enjoy '06!
