well, my experience with the UP is limited. i've been 'up north' but not actually to the other peninsula ... and well, up north was weird in itself, beautiful and a fun trip in the summer, but just so country! and i've heard more than a few stories about the UP and it seems a lot of people i've met from there ... are just , weird? there's really nothing there, at all and it's so cold, i think that's part of it. my neighbors are from the UP and i never see them unless their cat has gotten out. they supposedly have a 10 year .... i think i saw her taking out the trash once, about 6 months ago. hah
right on... i wish i could at least work in a record store if i have work in retail, i think it'd be pretty neat
i went to high school in ann arbor for the later part of my high school years... not that i like all these artists, but i think something could be said for iggy pop, bob seger and andrew w.k. all going to my high school when this is a pretty small town... and then there's detroit and it's surrounding areas which have and do produce some pretty awesome artists. i love mc5 as well
