Welcome to my much deserved, long-awaited DAY OFF!!! I refrained from my ususal record store crawl, as I've spent way too much time in that environment lately.
The eBay motherlode came today:
2 New Bomb Turks 7"s
2 Switchblades (one w/the squiggly blade!)
Entombed "Black Juju" CD
Motorhead/Girlschool "St. Valentine's Day Massacre" 10". I've waited over 20 years to buy this thing.
I ended up going out last night to play pool. It was fun, but my pool playing skills have become a bit rusty (understatement!). Just the same, it was a good time.
My downstairs neighbor's cat has been in my apt. all day. There is now a coating of white fur all over everything I own. I wish my neighbor's hot friend would come up here to retrieve the cat. Believe me, there are certainly plenty of butt scratchins for her too. RRRRRRROWWWWLLLL! She's one of those girls that is so hot, she doesn't even have to be remotely polite. I love that!
The SGTX get together thing is hours away. It'll be fun to meet all those folks who've come along since the last thing I attended in Dallas.
Something has had me on edge for the past few days. I'm guessing it's the fucked up issues I'm having with my family. I'm one of those people who has to be "in control" of every aspect of my life. If there's something that I can't fix because it's beyond my control, I get very frustrated. Everything in my life that needs fixing is beyond my control. In other words, I'm very frustrated. My distractions aren't distracting enough, so if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears!
Oh yeah, getting drunk is not an option.
