Just got home from the Big Sandy, Paladins, burlesque show. It was a pretty cool time. Ran into some folks who I haven't seen since I first moved here. Many didn't know that I still lived in Austin. Ya see, I got disgusted with the whole "scene" thing, and turned my back on it. In doing so, I lost touch with some cool folks. Speaking of cool folks, I ran into hkphotoaustin. We knew each other back from the Seattle days, so it's always cool to hang with him.
I actually DANCED tonight. Yeah, you read right. Now, be aware that I haven't danced since '98. I'd been watching this girl all night, and she asked me to dance...HUGE brown eyes, dark skin, cleopatra hair...'nuff said!
Thank God the floor was packed, so we didn't have much room. I pulled it off. I just hope no one I know saw me. But alas, it was only a dance. That's fine. Now I must go wash off the bar stink. Glad I went out. The distraction really helped.
