My friend Andy was at this neighbourhood record shop and bought a blank test press 7" in their ??? box on a whim. He's always up for anything as far as a fresh piece of vinyl goes... I don't think we were prepared for what it turned out to be.

It's a test press 7" of Catherine Wheel's "Eat my dust you insensitive fuck", and the b-side is "Black Metallic" live ("recorded by somebody on the floor at Dallas 1993"). The writing is scratched into the record by hand.

I think we all just died and went to swirly guitar heaven.
Also, yesterday I heard My bloody Valentine on indie 103 and it made me so fucking happy that I experienced that stuff when I did... I don't know that you'd walk into many clubs these days and experience the wall of sound that IS swirly guitar madness. And Curve was amazing. AMAZING! Toni Haliday was so fucking dreamy, she was a woman to be reckoned with, right?
