Why is the rent so low?
This ain't no house, it's a spider zoo!

At one point this might have freaked me out but these things are so big they deserve names.

It has gotten cooler in Seattle so our windows are closed more often now. We were getting heaps of spiders til then.

This is last week:

Sunday: Come home and find the house I rent has been sold and the new landlord "didn't realise it was occupied" (!!) and despite reams of furniture and personal belongings has decided to start "minor renovations" anyway.
What are "minor renovations" you ask?
All the windows were gone, the openings covered with tarps. A 5 foot square hole in the roof...

No computer for almost a month!
I thought I'd die until I actually started spending most of my time outdoors.

But life is sweet: The day I get my machine back from the shop

The artist's mission is to make the soul perceptible. Our scientific, materialist culture trains us to develop the eyes of outer perception. Visionary art encourages the development of our inner sight. To find the visionary realm, we use the intuitive inner eye: the eye of contemplation; the eye of the soul. All the inspiring ideas we have as artists originate here.

Hey there.

I happened to pop into Westminster Cathedral today (not WM Abbey) and there was a mass going on. But it was a full on choral mass. The Cathedral is hooj, and what was esp great was there were only like 100-150 people attending. But it was something to hear an old choral work (no idea what it was) in the real setting it was intended for. Something else. We have a couple cathedrals in Seattle, but neither are as big as this one.
