Called HP back today:
"The service center says that the system software on your computer wasn't functioning correctly and they need to do a re-imaging on your computer to fix it."
"No! I told you guys yesterday that I DO NOT need a system restore and you said you told the service center that. There's no reason my computer's hardware or software shouldn't be functioning, it was fine when I sent it off to you and there is not reason you should have turned the thing on in the first place it's the CASING around the screen that's damaged. I was supposed to have the computer yesterday, just tell them to fix the casing around the screen, quit fucking with the computer, and send the damn thing back to me!"
"Ok, ma'am, I emailed them and let them know to fix the casing around the screen and to ignore the system re-imaging. Is there anything else I can do for you?"
"Do you know when it will be fixed and sent back to me?"
"No ma'am. Is there anything else I can do for you?"
"No..."
"Thank you, then. Have a good day."

At this point I just want to buy a new fucking computer and never deal with HP again. Fucking. Christ.
I want a tiny, light, reliable Dell or something.

If you can make the switch, I would definitely suggest it. Although rumors are that their laptops will get a redesign very soon. May be announced June 9th even. So if you can hold out a few weeks, that would definitely pay off.
