So a lot of people said "do what you are more interested in" and the problem was that I didn't know what I was more interested in.

After checking the schedules for the classes over the year, I saw that I could take both in the future... so that didn't help. Then I really started thinking about the classes compared to the others I knew I was taking and I decided to go for Photo.

400-level history classes tend to be very intense-- 2 hour chunks of very dry lectures with little discussion encouraged. Profs usually just bring in a book-sized packet of lecture notes and talk the whole time and you're expected to take notes. Plus the reading is usually intensive and the examinations difficult.

So, considering all the other classes I'm taking are going to be pretty intense as well, I decided I didn't need the extra stress of a (potentially) boring and difficult class (while ultimately interesting and informative) Autumn Quarter. I can always take it the next year when I'll be doing my Senior Honors thesis and probably nothing else. That'll be a better workload.
