My weekend was awesome!
I hung out with my mom, which was really nice since we don't get to do that a lot. She came up to visit and we went to Fremont for dinner. Ended up having a great Spanish meal and doing some shopping. I came away with a new shirt and a jumper and she got a new purse.
Yay boutiques.
Then we drove down to Tacoma to stay for the night and stayed at an awesome hotel. This morning we woke up, walked around downtown Tacoma (which, by the way, is VERY cute and totally changed my outlook on the city) and got some breakfast.
Then we went back to the hotel spa. She got facial stuff done and I had a lovely massage! Very very relaxing.
I've decided as of today that I am going to put aside the money to get an extended bikini wax (just a stripe left) when I need it instead of shaving anymore. SUCH less of a hassle and so worth it.
After that we mosied over the the Glass Museum, which was actually a really small museum we found out, but very nice none-the-less. I really loved it. We took pictures on the bridge to the glass museum, which are below.
Came back to Seattle to drop me off and had cupcakes at Cupcake Royale in Ballard. A nice weekend indeed!
IN OTHER NEWS, I just set up everything for my new apartment!! I'm moving in with a friend I've known since high school, and it's an amazing apartment that will be totally convienient (although still overpriced because it's SEATTLE, ugh). ANYWAY, it's amazingly cute and I'm so excited! I sign the lease really soon, and everything's reserved for us.
However, that means that I need apartment stuff!!!! Haha. I need dishes, I need cups, I need curtains--I need SHTUFF. And urban outfitters is having a sale on apartment things. Especially dishes. I made a wishlist with what I like, but I'm pretty sure those items are going to be sitting there for years because no one's going to get me anything and I'll have to buy things one by one as I get the money.
Today I picked up a cool little thing for our coffee table though: it's a box of cards that all have different questions on them. Fun conversation starters.
Anyway. Uh, who wants to buy me apartment stuff? Hahahahahahaha. I'm very excited.
And that's my weekend. Now it's time to go study for my damn midterm that's tomorrow. Pictures below:
