Welp, one final done. I didn't do so hot. I didn't do very well this quarter in that class, though. I'll probably have to take the whole class over again, as it's a graduation requirement and I have to get a 2.0--I probably got a 1.9. Ugh. I hate that.
On the other hand, I'm going to 4.0 the other classes I'm taking, so that's... Read More
I am still in the "chugga-chugga-chugga" part of life and have not yet gotten to the "choo-choo," haha. I have a test today, and oral exam tomorrow, and then a Final Saturday at 8:30am. Then a paper to write by Monday and a final on Monday. Then I am done!
That's when the (still busy, but) less stressful time comes in and I... Read More
I need to lose a little weight. Ok, more like almost 20 pounds.
I've been trying to lose weight for a couple months now, but factors have made it so that I couldn't. And not that I just couldn't, but that I actually gained! And it's the flubbery kind of weight that you gain from just putting shit in your body.
OK, you're too busy to exercise for the time being, so here's what you do:
1. NEVER eat before bed. Leave a minimum of two hours after your last meal/snack before you go to sleep. Eating before your body starts to digest will cause you to gain weight much faster than if you ate the same meal a couple hours before sleeping. This will also prevent or reduce acid reflux.
2. Drink lots of water. To be specific, take your body weight number, then cut that in half. Whatever that number is, drink that in ounces of water every day. For instance, if you weigh 140 pounds, then drink 70 ounces of water every day. Make this a routine. You'll feel less hungry, your skin will feel clearer, smoother and softer, and you'll digest your food more efficiently. Also, if you are headache prone, this will help it tremendously.
In the long term, the real fixes are walking an hour a day, getting some sun, and cutting out processed sugars. That last one is a killer, but I'm working on it right now and it'll make a world of difference in the long run. It'll also reduce my chances of getting arthritis or joint pain as I get older.
Sorry if all of this sounds pointless, but it's working for me so I thought I would share.
LIndy hop? thats some mad fun!! i am lucky to of been able to do that to the live sounds of the god like "royal crown revue" for my 29th birthday when they came to Oz a few years ago
Someone tell me why the fuck I am so bipolar lately. I hate it hate it hate it. I have no motivation to do absolutely anything and I feel like there's a weight in my head pressing down on things.
I think that I am going to go for a long bike ride after I eat dinner and then go to bed.
And on the other hand I forgot my boring meds this morning, and came home and it was KLONOPIN TIME. Been there done that. What's the most number of days in a row you've spent on a sofa?
I went looking for new blog entries just now, which I never do (seriously not more than once in the past two years), and yours was cool.
Cheers and a happy holiday weekend, and may your computer troubles be resolved,
Plenty of things wrong with watching Juno again and again. Stop now, before you believe that propaganda!
And there's nothing wrong with sleeping for a day or two.
"The service center says that the system software on your computer wasn't functioning correctly and they need to do a re-imaging on your computer to fix it."
"No! I told you guys yesterday that I DO NOT need a system restore and you said you told the service center that. There's no reason my computer's hardware or software shouldn't be functioning,... Read More
+1 for Apple. It is worth it for the AppleCare warranty plan. It's basically a 3 year warranty. Mine has already paid for itself twofold. When my battery crapped out on me, I had a new one on my doorstep 18 hours later. New power adapter was a 24 hour deally too.
If you can make the switch, I would definitely suggest it. Although rumors are that their laptops will get a redesign very soon. May be announced June 9th even. So if you can hold out a few weeks, that would definitely pay off.
