In football news, Mizzou beat Nebraska yesterday. YAHOO!!

More later. I'm in the middle of dyeing my hair and it's time to wash it out smile

~~~~~~~~~
Oh, and I didn't do anything really fun or drastic to my hair. I'm trying to pretend that I'm not 34 by turning my recent sudden influx of grey hair back to brown. And inadvertantly lightened my hair by...
Hmm, i think i need a dye job too. my roots are starting to show.
The sooner why hair goes white the easier it will be to die my hair. I've been dying my hair now for like 6 years, I don't think I can stop.
Oh you guys. How much have I missed you? I can answer that. REALLY A LOT!
What an incredible undertaking this week has been. I'm exhausted. I'm going to sleep for as many hours in a row as I can manage, then I'm going to move the last bits of furniture back where they belong, then I'm going to have a nap. Then I'll be...
I got through the Oral Board...somehow shocked
It wasn't as bad as it could have been. I only had to deal with two people--one of the supervisors, and the Major who's in charge of the Records and Desk unit, who spent the entire interview cracking jokes.
Well, I'm going to be semi-off-line for the next few days. We're pulling up the carpet and insulating the floor...
So it occured to me, a mere 30 minutes ago, for the first time today:
I have a job interview at 8:30 tomorrow morning.
The freaking out will now begin! eeek
breezey:
Good Luck. Although I think that you'll need the luck to get up on time, not at the interview. biggrin tongue biggrin
Awww, I feel loved! love
Tonight I will put on my temporary alter ego and become the Halloween Phantom Delivery Girl of my neighborhood. I found this little poem:
The Phantom haunts you happily
From now through Halloween
And was delivered by a friend
Who (hopefully) was not seen.
The spirit of the neighborhood
Has come to wish you well.
Someone, somewhere, selected you
To receive this happy spell.
You...
Heck, I'm not going anywhere. I've got a position to defend in that there harem and I'm not giving it up without a fight! wink
I've got big fuzzy black panther slippers (the animal not the activist group wink ) But by the sounds of things you've got a whole bunch of cool slippers. That's what makes cooler weather interesting. Footwear that can potentially scare cats! smile
I am a weak willed woman.
I'll give you a moment to put on your "Shock!" face.
I am contemplating giving Professor Joe another round. Damn his deep voice and smooth guitar playing ways mad
You caught me. I'm not really mad although I am annoyed at myself for letting him sneak back in.
goblintcat:
Professor Joe...take two. Hey, if it works it works (Must remember to edit the Excel chart again wink )
I'll still be working in the office during the days so I'll still send all sorts of goodness your way! Heck, you deserve it. smile
goblintcat:
Mysterious Professor Joe powers!!!
It's going to take more than sticking me in a forest to keep me away from you guys! That's a promise.
I couldn't last without my Summergirl words of wisdom! wink
Ack!
Today involved a suspect water heater and laundry being done in someone else's home. At least it's not my hot water heater being suspect, but my poor sister frown As if they don't have enough to deal with. At least I got to have lunch with the most adorable boy ever, even if he did return the love by pulling my hair with fingers covered...
wow you're already christmas shopping?!
It's been kind of a busy day. My sister wanted me to go shopping with her. I didn't know she meant multiple stores eeek and now all I can think about is a nap. I'm so used to being a hermit-like shut-in that one hectic day chasing a baby around is almost enough to wipe me out frown
I feel good about the whole day, though. I'm...
It's barely even fall and I'm already planning for spring. Fair warning--the spoiler is full of ramblings about flowers, so read it at your own risk of being bored to death:
I love George Carlin! smile Seven bad words you can't say on television... still have them memorized from since I was a kid. "Those are the words that'll curve your spine, corrupt your soul and keep the country from winning the war". lol! biggrin
Hmm.
Lots of things going on in my head today, but none of them are ready to be shared out just yet.
In tribute to Canada's Thanksgiving, I just had a turkey sandwich for lunch. And a handful of Fritos. And a dill pickle. Because Fritos and a turkey sandwich and a dill pickle just go together, in my book biggrin
Sure it counts!smile
Well, since you were so forthcoming about your name, I figured I'd share too... I'm Jim. smile But, and to quote my dad, "call me what you like, just don't call me late for supper". smile Seriously though, I respond best to Jim, banjoboy, tarbox (long story there...), chombley (another long story)... that's all I can think of right now.
Yes, once again, it's Home Improvement Sunday.
We're pulling up the carpet in the family room and the flooring out of the bathroom and insulating the floor. Hopefully the carpet will be in good enough shape to just put it back. It still looks good, but it's kind of old and I'm worried it'll end up shredded. I don't want to buy new carpet tongue But...
Wow! These things never come to mind when everything is apart. Only once everything has been put back together. Then folks start getting brave and thinking "Well, if that worked , then THIS should be easy"!
Good luck! The destructive part is always fun! And depending on the tile material a wet saw is good messy fun as well! wink
breezey:
Taking things apart is always fun, it tends to be even better when you can get it back together! biggrin Just think, if you have to buy nre carpet, think how good it will feel all nice and squishy between your toes
...maybe I'll just go back to bed.
Later that day...
Or not. It appears that my car has two issues. One is that the exhaust system has come apart and I'll have to have it replaced. That doesn't explain the sudden lack of power when I step on it, though, so I'm still considering whether I should sell off Moosabella and go for that Lumina....
