In football news, Mizzou beat Nebraska yesterday. YAHOO!!
More later. I'm in the middle of dyeing my hair and it's time to wash it out
~~~~~~~~~
Oh, and I didn't do anything really fun or drastic to my hair. I'm trying to pretend that I'm not 34 by turning my recent sudden influx of grey hair back to brown. And inadvertantly lightened my hair by... Read More
Oh you guys. How much have I missed you? I can answer that. REALLY A LOT!
What an incredible undertaking this week has been. I'm exhausted. I'm going to sleep for as many hours in a row as I can manage, then I'm going to move the last bits of furniture back where they belong, then I'm going to have a nap. Then I'll be... Read More
It wasn't as bad as it could have been. I only had to deal with two people--one of the supervisors, and the Major who's in charge of the Records and Desk unit, who spent the entire interview cracking jokes.
Well, I'm going to be semi-off-line for the next few days. We're pulling up the carpet and insulating the floor... Read More
Heck, I'm not going anywhere. I've got a position to defend in that there harem and I'm not giving it up without a fight!
I've got big fuzzy black panther slippers (the animal not the activist group ) But by the sounds of things you've got a whole bunch of cool slippers. That's what makes cooler weather interesting. Footwear that can potentially scare cats!
Today involved a suspect water heater and laundry being done in someone else's home. At least it's not my hot water heater being suspect, but my poor sister As if they don't have enough to deal with. At least I got to have lunch with the most adorable boy ever, even if he did return the love by pulling my hair with fingers covered... Read More
It's been kind of a busy day. My sister wanted me to go shopping with her. I didn't know she meant multiple stores and now all I can think about is a nap. I'm so used to being a hermit-like shut-in that one hectic day chasing a baby around is almost enough to wipe me out
I feel good about the whole day, though. I'm... Read More
It's barely even fall and I'm already planning for spring. Fair warning--the spoiler is full of ramblings about flowers, so read it at your own risk of being bored to death:
For the first time, I'm harvesting impatiens seeds. What a pain that is, as the seed pods look cute and harmless, but are actually triggered to explode at the tiniest... Read More
I love George Carlin! Seven bad words you can't say on television... still have them memorized from since I was a kid. "Those are the words that'll curve your spine, corrupt your soul and keep the country from winning the war". lol!
Lots of things going on in my head today, but none of them are ready to be shared out just yet.
In tribute to Canada's Thanksgiving, I just had a turkey sandwich for lunch. And a handful of Fritos. And a dill pickle. Because Fritos and a turkey sandwich and a dill pickle just go together, in my book
Well, since you were so forthcoming about your name, I figured I'd share too... I'm Jim. But, and to quote my dad, "call me what you like, just don't call me late for supper". Seriously though, I respond best to Jim, banjoboy, tarbox (long story there...), chombley (another long story)... that's all I can think of right now.
We're pulling up the carpet in the family room and the flooring out of the bathroom and insulating the floor. Hopefully the carpet will be in good enough shape to just put it back. It still looks good, but it's kind of old and I'm worried it'll end up shredded. I don't want to buy new carpet But... Read More
Wow! These things never come to mind when everything is apart. Only once everything has been put back together. Then folks start getting brave and thinking "Well, if that worked , then THIS should be easy"!
Good luck! The destructive part is always fun! And depending on the tile material a wet saw is good messy fun as well!
Taking things apart is always fun, it tends to be even better when you can get it back together! Just think, if you have to buy nre carpet, think how good it will feel all nice and squishy between your toes
Or not. It appears that my car has two issues. One is that the exhaust system has come apart and I'll have to have it replaced. That doesn't explain the sudden lack of power when I step on it, though, so I'm still considering whether I should sell off Moosabella and go for that Lumina.... Read More
Hmm, i think i need a dye job too. my roots are starting to show.
