So it is 4:57am...why the hell can't I sleep...grrr! I need to make friends with people on the other side of the world so they can talk to me when they wake up and keep me entertained just long enough to allow me to temporarily delude myself into thinking that the boredom that spurns the horizon is not the unabating and insufferable condition that it is. It is the only thing in life that I can say with some certainty will always be by my side. I will spend most of my life trying to find ways, either constructive or otherwise, to free myself of the notion that regardless of what I do or where I go Boredom will find me...and then Death will be swift on his heels, and these are the only unequivocal truths. Death carries a blade and Boredom bends you over to kiss the knife in your back
