these are some sample poems from my new zine, 'loss and regret'

god laying naked on a summer day
immortal skin flesh pride
bleeding through secreated lies
deserts of time and decay
sly,
under lizard skin covers
all this on the tongue fo the poet
pretentious?
yes, i think so

the coldest it ever gets
is between two lovers
who now hate each other
for whatever reason
the distance in tangled sheets
is more than it seems
you can't help but wonder
how stupid they are
to think that love and sex,
like anything in life,
can be perfect

if you sit and think of the lonely people
sharing the same bed
maybe you'll come to the conclusion
that the lucky ones
are those who realize
that love and cruelty
might just be the same thing
