"triuphant return? or self diluted rambling?"
been so long. the bane of having only public access internet has finally ended so maybe i can finally get around to being more active on this here site. the issues:
-school: it's been keeping me busy, but not in that 'god i have no free time and want to die' sort of way, just busy when i'm not relaxing and having me time. my linguistics class sucks a bit due partly to it being more for linguistics majors instead of anthro people. the teacher also has the personality of an unsalted saltine.
-music: i've been on a no wave kick recently. love it. saw high on fire last weekend and got to go to my favorite record store. going to see tegan and sara (admittedly a very guilty pleasure) and devendra banhart. the venue situation here is pretty bad as there are really only two places for a good show and they are both owned by the same person. recently they've been jacking up prices for shows AFTER they annouce them and price them. example: cat power was 10 bucks when they annouced it, but now it's 15. no thank you. this one bar i like has a really good industria/goth/80s/punk night and the dj lady is really nice too. just sent off a big ass jandek order to corwood industries.
-love life: um, the girl i thought i was dating informed me we aren't dating. she still acts really flirty and interested in me at times, so it's pretty confusing. bascially, i go back and forth between just wanting to ignore her completely or still wanting to hang out with her in hopes she might change her mind.
