Back again! I'm missing everyone quite terribly, but I've been so damn busy lately that SG has been pushed to the wayside, unfortunately.
Recap of joker_'s birthday week -
Arrived in San Francisco last Wednesday, and I got to give him his present.
Not bad, eh?
We then went to meet his brother and his brother's boyfriend at their adorable little apartment in LoPa before going out to dinner in the Marina district. All I have to say is - Greens Restaurant is phenomenal. Amazing food, an incredible view, and the company was fantastic.
Thursday was spent in San Francisco, walking around Union Square, checking out The Dark Knight at the Metreon and having dinner at our standby, Lori's Diner. After which, I gave my leftovers to a hungry homeless guy before stopping by a great place for cocktails, port, and some ridiculously delicious crme brle.
We headed back up into Sonoma County the next day, but not before discovering that the hotel manager had arranged for a bottle of champagne to be waiting for joker_ to take home with us. I love little surprises like that. The actual birthday was really low key: watching movies and asian takeout. I couldn't have asked for anything better than time alone with my birthday boy. ♥
Saturday was BBQ day, and we had some friends over for the day while I grilled. We'd spent the morning cleaning and cooking, so by the time everyone got there, it was nice to sit back with a glass of wine and hang out. A lot of wine later, Caj and I were in rough shape the next morning . . . but thankfully that passed quickly, considering we had to make the drive to Sacramento to hang out with his family.
Sacramento was great, we stayed at his parents house on Sunday night, and hung out with the family that night and the next day. Caj has a really great family (who likes me), it's really, really nice.
And now I'm back home! Which will only last a week, actually. Next Tuesday (my birthday!!) I'll be flying back out westward to celebrate my birthday with Caj, who has some birthday surprise trip all planned that we'll be taking! ♥ I can't wait.
I hope everyone is well, I miss you all!!!
