Say you know someone, someone who likes to ask questions for the responses they get. Now, say the questions they ask are open to subjectively phrased answers, and widely varying methods of instruction. So subjective and widely varying, in fact, that the people asked have a tendency to debate amongst themselves as to the best explainations. Imagine that this person sits and listens, asking the same question, over and over, with depreciating intelligence, until the people giving answers are forced to break the subject down into elementary principals and basal examples, much as they would explain something to a small child, competing agaisnt each other for the simplicity and brevity of explaination. Now imagine that the someone asking all the questions completely understood the first answer they were given, and are only continuing the barrage for the sport of watching people get heated when they can't understand how their method and answer aren't getting through. They're doing it all or fun, and they're barely hiding the smirk. Now imagine that you're the only one who sees what they're doing, and when you call them out on it, everyone else tells you to "be nice."


I fucking hate being nice, especially to people who deserve to be slapped.
