So I was at the bar last night, and I wrote this, on a cocktail napkin. It'll give you an idea of exactly how my life is going right about now.

"And I sit here in silence, in a hopelessly hopeful wonder. My jaw is clenched so tightly it hurts, and I can't do anthing about it. I'm swallowing my words about as often as I'm swallowing mouthfulls of liquor, but neither are helping this situation go down smoother. I'm just waiting for something better, and hopefully it'll come sooner than expected. If not, I always have something beautiful to look forward to. Too bad it's just not coming soon enough."

And then I got up, walked into the bathroom, and threw my pen against the far wall. And then I walked back out into the bar.
