I dreamt of mom and dad. Now gone a dozen years or more. Oddly after all this time, never dreamt of. Mom was keeping a black bear and two cubs in the spare bedroom upstairs.
Arrived. At home. A count of dogs and cats lounging or scampering about the living room never complete. Shod hoof saunter, a nuzzle at the brim at back of my hat. Two horse, continually distract. And tip the brim over my eyes.
The family continued to gather. A grizzly cub arrived, to everyone's surprise. That's when my grandmother explained. I was the one that needed to explain why this was all wrong.

Couple weeks off. On call the last few. A relief. Chance to see a show. Couple minutes late for 9:50 Spider-Man 2. Caught the 10:00 Michael Moore.
