Sat. On Sunday. Stared at the snow. On the television. Didn't think for the first hour. Bore the second hour and third coffee. Think, better take a look. Out the back door. Extension ladder in the rain. Pours rain. Trace the line back from the house to the splitter next to the pole. The cable is connected. It's been seven years that I told the cable company to disconnect it. A third hour the distraction worn thin. And snow. Still nothing. Got to go. Get groceries. Get some video tapes. Out the front door. The disconnection notice stuck in the door flutters to the floor.
