For those of you out there who spend ages calculating the calorific value of every mouthful they eat, then well done, you are obviously aiming for some kind of dietary target, and for that, you must be applauded. But I have got to that stage in life where there just isn't time. it's definitely the 'I'm too old for this shit' syndrome. I mean, I cycle ninety miles each week, I climb stairs, and can run without keeling over in a sweaty lemon-coloured skin heap. I very rarely eat sweets, or ice-cream, I never eat stuff from FukDonald's, or Kills Fat Children, or whatever. I occasionally waver and get chips from near where I work [they are fucking marvellous]. I eat as much salad stuff as I can, and am very fond of a vegetable called 'Marsh Samphire' [salicorna europaea],when it's in season, and if I can get Asparagus, then I'm a happy old git. [Although the odd effect it has on one's urine is still annoying]. My main weakness is Cheese. Any sort, but blue-veined is best. And that's what I had for breakfast today.
Strawberries, Danish Blue cheese, some very mature Cheddar, and a bottle of 'Amigos' Tequila-flavoured beer to wash it down. Excellent. Have a great Friday - I'm off to bed.
