I did a very anal fanboy thing here - I took screengrabs of the entire creation sequence, just to see if I could fathom, how the hell Fritz Lang managed to create such a seamless wonder way back in 1926. There are a LOT of screengrabs.😊😉

All the hideous high-rise newbuild you see here, was built where beautiful and interesting Victorian dock architecture stood. Naturally, nine years after it was built, only a tiny part of it is occupied. The skeletal building (The Wine Rack, as some wag named it), is due for demolition, as the weather has damaged the structure. The tallest tower, has never seen any tenants, and was damaged in the 2013 winter storms. We hate this development, it is doing nothing; going nowhere, designed by people who don't live anywhere near here. Everything is out of scale with it's surroundings. It sits there, a great white elephant, but one that is dead, and slowly decaying.😁
