I can understand a hospital having rules where you can only smoke in a designated area away from any doors or any place people have to walk by you and breathe in trace amounts of your cigarette smoke. But when you are a university hospital on a huge campus and you don't let people smoke anywhere on the universtiy/hospital property, you're just being assholes. Not only that, but it doesn't stop anyone from smoking and the lack of ashtrays means most people just throw their butts on the ground. The smug signs do not help either.
