Crap.
I got blue goo pool chemical algestroy in my eye today at work. Now I have a burn on the bottom of my cornea. It's low enough that it isn't going to effect my vision, but it's fucking irritating as hell. Also, I'm an idiot.
I got it in my eye at about 9 this morning. And I decided it would get better on its own. And didn't go to the ER until about 7 pm. But at least it was empty. Just have to use some antibiotic eye drops for a while, and see an ophthalmologist tomorrow. Moral of the story? Don't get blue gooey chemicals in your eye. They hurt, and make your eye look horrific.
Man, Kurt Vonnegut. So it goes. (I wonder how many other people have said "so it goes" about his death I bet it's a lot.)
Post opthalamological update:
The guy said that the Dr in the ER made it sound a lot worse than it actually is. My eye doesn't hurt at all now, it's just watery on fucked up looking. I just have to take some antibiotic, and anti-inflammatory drops for a week or so and it should all be fine. Basically, the worst part of it all is missing a day of work, and therefore a days pay. Which also means my over time for the week is fucked unless I work a butt ton of hours on monday and tuesday. Which, the way things are this time of year, I just might.
