I have been damned bored lately.
I can't seem to straighten out my sleep schedule, so I haven't been up before 2pm in about two weeks. But I have to get up by 8 tomorrow to sit around waiting for the guy to come check out the furnace. Fun. "Between 8 and 2." That shit never gets old.
The library here is such a fucking joke. For instance they have Minority Report and Paycheck on both DVD and VHS, but they only have one actual book by Philip K. Dick. And it's one I've never heard of. They LOVE to have only random books in a series. Why bother having any if you aren't going to have the whole fucking thing? There is a better library about 20 minutes away. But that one, and the one here in town are somehow linked in some weird library system. And since I live closest to the one here in Sag Harbor it means that I can't take new books out of the better library. They have to be at least a year old before I can take them out. I have no idea what that is about. And the stupid thing is if I wanted a new book, I could probably go to the library in sag harbor, and have them get it for me through an inter library loan. So I could have the book, but only get it in a way that would have the book be out of the library for longer once you factor in the time it takes for the book to get from one library to the other and back again. I don't get it. The moral of the story? The John Jermain library can kiss my ass.

sadly, knowledge is not always power. sometimes I wonder why I anger myself reading about these things, when there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. I wish I was Superwoman. Then I could do something about it. I think.
