Ok, I only allow myself a one week pining period. I'm not in paradise anymore.
Exactly one week ago at this time, I was almost about to wake up for my last short day in Hawaii. The night before I'd met this rad lady and we've kept in touch since then. ( Thanks for the advice Sophie, you're bang on.
) My friend Tom and I wasted time running around the area. We had Subway. In Hawaii. We hit up Beach 69. We met Lisa and Sadie, briefly, then less briefly. We had Kona coffee in Kona. It wasn't all that. We took one last walk around the hotel compound at dusk. Then we hit the airport, and I slept myself back to Seattle. I swear it only took five minutes, including the plane change at LAX.
I'm happy to be back in the upper north west. Or lower ... uh... south... west? I split my time between Victoria and Seattle... so.... whatever. I don't know how that works.
