This is the happenings on the Meaney family futon at the moment.
For those of you who know, lioness4...her SG presence pretty much reflects her "real life" presence with the Meaneys. Meaning, that we don't get to see her very often. So she came to spend a few days with us, and I'm overjoyed. (I feel lame using that word. It's a word that I am now realizing I do not like. But there is no other way to describe it. My heart is bursting. I am so happy that she is here.) I know I had mentioned in a previous blog how hard it has been for me to be away from my best friends, since moving back to the Chicago area. I feel truly blessed to know that these people are still only a phone call away.
The last time she saw Tommy was October 27, 2005. He was two months old - pissy and nothing exciting, honestly. So you can imagine how awesome it feels to see them crashed on my couch together. Not many people have had such a calming effect on him. Tommy obviously has great taste in women.
It feels good to know that she will always be a part of our lives.

The picture of my daughter was taken literally minutes after she met her new brother. She couldn't stop hugging him and giving him kisses.
Thanks also for the name suggestions. After three days of him being nameless we've finally settled on Finlay Benjamin.
Reading your blog has made me think about some of my old friends, some of whom I haven't seen since my wife and I relocated 10 months ago.
You've inspired me. It's time to get in touch with these people and take some time out to catch up.
